Residential Group Home Instructor
Residential Instructor position paying $18.50/hour. We are looking for dedicated and caring people to work with adult-aged individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.

STAR, Inc., is a non-profit located in Norwalk, CT that provides support services to adult-aged individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities and their families for over 70 years. Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living such as administering medication, cooking meals, performing personal hygiene, and transportation to medical appointments, day programs, and activities.
- Implement individual behavioral plans.
- Teach new skills and help individuals achieve goals using effective teaching and mentoring techniques.
- Encourage individuals' interests and drive them to community outings and recreational activities based on their preferences and behavioral plans.
- Report any concerns about health and safety and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Compassion and ability to see the potential in everyone
- Positivity and a team-player attitude
Schedule
We operate 24-hour residential group homes, offering many shift options including mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
