Job Profile Summary
We are hiring a Group Home Supervisor to lead and manage operations of facilities providing non-ICF services. This role involves supervising Direct Support employees, maintaining communication with clinical and professional healthcare staff, and ensuring compliance with person-centered plans.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees
- Spends adequate time in the residential facility monitoring and providing feedback to staff
- Resolves employee issues and conducts performance reviews
- Maintains harmony between employees and clients while serving as a positive role model
- Provides audits for medication administration
- Makes sure employees meet training requirements and attend required events
- Makes sure employees stay within budget guidelines
- Makes sure employees interact positively with people supported
- Provides after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities
- Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
- Ability to lift between 20 and 50 lbs. and provide CPR after certification
- CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification, a plus
- At least 18 years of age
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Able to regularly lift and carry up to 30 lbs. and occasionally pull at least 50 lbs.
- Able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop as part of regular job duties
- Able to use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level
- Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision
- Able to talk and hear
- Exception – Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs: Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
