About the role
Provide healthcare support to individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities, promoting their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor participants' health status, following physician orders, with support from staff and supervisors.
- Develop personalized understanding of clients' needs, facilitating tailored care.
- Prepare and submit health summaries and reports for care planning.
- Train staff and participants on medication management, hygiene, seizure control, and health needs.
- Ensure proper medication storage, administration, and recordkeeping, reviewing logs and medical documents.
- Administer medication-related training and certifications, maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Support self-medication programs to promote independence.
Requirements
- Connecticut Registered Nurse License.
- Ability to assess, train, and collaborate effectively.
- Attention to detail in medication management.
- Commitment to client-centered care.
