About the role

Provide healthcare support to individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities, promoting their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor participants' health status, following physician orders, with support from staff and supervisors.
  • Develop personalized understanding of clients' needs, facilitating tailored care.
  • Prepare and submit health summaries and reports for care planning.
  • Train staff and participants on medication management, hygiene, seizure control, and health needs.
  • Ensure proper medication storage, administration, and recordkeeping, reviewing logs and medical documents.
  • Administer medication-related training and certifications, maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Support self-medication programs to promote independence.

Requirements

  • Connecticut Registered Nurse License.
  • Ability to assess, train, and collaborate effectively.
  • Attention to detail in medication management.
  • Commitment to client-centered care.
