About the role
This Group Facilitator position supports the Proteus program at Behavioral Health Network, which helps men become safe and accountable relationship partners by changing their beliefs and attitudes regarding domestic violence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee intervention groups that work to change the beliefs and attitudes of abusive people on a weekly basis.
- Conduct intake assessments of individuals served.
- Ensure that assessments, notes, completions, and terminations are kept up to date.
- Use your social services education and experience.
- Communicate directly with collaborating Victim Advocates and Survivor Leadership Council.
- Provide data and informational trends to a local Survivor Leadership Council and to your supportive supervision team.
Requirements
- Familiarity with domestic violence issues (required).
- High School Diploma or GED and two or more years of experience working in the social services field (required); Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred).
- Ability to become certified in a Department of Health-approved Batterer Intervention Program model (completed after hire).
- Strong written documentation skills on computer platforms (required).
