Support Group Facilitator

About the role

The Support Group Facilitator is someone who will be compassionately dedicated to facilitate group sessions for individuals in need of support and guidance. This role requires someone who can manage a flexible schedule, sometimes daytime and evening hours, can be weekday or weekends depending on the project/program being supported. The facilitator will play a key role in helping participants through group discussions and activities, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group discussion to foster community and connection between participants.
• Establish open lines of communication for individuals attending the group.
• Provide support and guidance to group participants through group discussion and activities.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a positive group atmosphere and ensure consistency in the delivery of services.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about best practices in group facilitation and client care.

Requirements

Education Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED Required
• Bachelor’s degree in human services (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or a related field) Preferred

Experience Qualifications:

• At least two (2) years previous experience facilitating groups or working with vulnerable populations. Preferred

• Excellent organizational and documentation skills. (Required proficiency)
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. (Required proficiency)

Pay

Salary range: $28.05 - $35.05 hourly. (Full‑time equivalent; part‑time pay adjusted accordingly.)

Schedule

This role is expected to work approximately 4 hours per month, with flexible scheduling that may include daytime, evening, weekday, or weekend hours depending on the project or program.
