LONGO SERVICES PROVIDER values inclusiveness, respect, and culturally responsive practices in all aspects of its work.Role Description The Group Facilitator is a contract, hybrid role based in East Palo Alto, CA, with a combination of on-site sessions and some work-from-home tasks. The facilitator will plan, lead, and evaluate group sessions, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for participants. Typical responsibilities include preparing session materials, guiding discussions, managing group dynamics, and documenting attendance and outcomes. The role also involves coordinating schedules, communicating with participants and stakeholders, and collaborating with other staff to align group activities with program goals. The Group Facilitator may perform remote duties such as session planning, report writing, and follow-up communications.Qualifications Strong group facilitation, public speaking, and meeting management skills to guide diverse participants effectively.Experience in program coordination, session planning, and basic reporting or documentation.Ability to build trust, maintain professional boundaries, and support participants with empathy and respect.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.Comfort working in a hybrid environment, including on-site work in East Palo Alto, CA and remote tasks from home.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple groups, schedules, and priorities.Knowledge of community services, social work, counseling, education, or related fields is beneficial.Prior experience facilitating groups in community-based, educational, or social service settings preferred.Ability to work with people from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and age backgrounds.Relevant education or training in social services, psychology, education, or a related discipline is an advantage.
