Group Activity Leader/Assistant - Various Locations
About the role
DESC is the largest multi-service agency serving homeless adults in the Puget Sound region, reaching over 9,000 people annually and providing state licensed mental health and chemical dependency treatment, 279 emergency shelter beds, and over 1,600 units of permanent, supportive housing. DESC also reduces the financial burden on taxpayers by minimizing use of emergency rooms, jails, courts, police, psychiatric hospitals and other costly resources while improving quality of life for the community. The organization uses creative, assertive, holistic, evidence‑based and emerging best practices to serve highly vulnerable, difficult‑to‑engage clientele, many of whom lack family or community support. DESC has received national recognition for its work with chronically homeless adults with behavioral health disorders and remains committed to serving the most disabled and vulnerable adults in the community.
