The Group Account Director will play an active role partnering with our clients and spearheading medical communication plans from strategic concept development through implementation. You will function as a dynamic member of the OHMC team, representing our company with significant client exposure and working as part of a cross-functional internal team, leveraging your scientific acumen and tactical experience to deliver great work for our clients. What You Will Do Begin to lead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes across teams to protect business against vulnerabilityMonitor the team’s management of day-to-day client deliverable activities, and proactively identify and mitigate potential challengesInitiate and participate in strategic and tactical brainstorming sessions; direct the strategic development of projects and programsIdentify and seek out new business opportunities and expansion of existing accountsBuild and maintain strong and strategic client relationships, and guide the team in building strong relationshipsServe as a senior resource for the client; monitor company/client relationship, ensure resolution of day-to-day account issuesAdvise clients on message development and marketing strategies and generate written proposals to meet client marketing strategiesEffectively develop, organize, and deliver compelling verbal presentations, from 1:1 client meetings to group new business pitchesRegularly analyze accounts to enhance profitability on assigned accounts and recommend changes and renegotiationsDevise and deliver forecast of annual goals and objectives, including proposals for generating new business and business expansion activitiesEnsure assigned projects and programs are completed accurately, on time, and within budgetHolistically manage and ensure relationships across all client teams and levels to set positive cultural tonesMentor and assist career growth of various team membersIdentify talent issues or challenges and proactively collaborate with senior management to build and work in alignment with a plan of actionContribute to internal trainings and initiatives as requested by senior management Requirements Degree in life science or degree in liberal arts, marketing or communications, with a strong appreciation for medical communications and scientific storytelling, and an interest in pharmaceutical marketing 7 years of medical communication or clinician-focused healthcare marketing agency-side experienceUnderstanding of market dynamics in therapeutic areas is preferred Understanding of scientific messaging, KOL/DOL engagement strategies, and meetings management for advisory boards, symposia and promotional speaker training Comprehension of medical terminology Availability and willingness to travelStrategic acumen and consultative client management experiencePrevious success leading client business coupled with prior supervisory experience and the ability to motivate others to attain goals $120,000-135,000 Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
