About the Role
Within the WPP Unite structure, Barrows is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Group Account Director to lead commerce-focused client relationships across Unilever brand categories including Personal Care, Beauty & Wellbeing, Nutrition, and Home Care. This role involves senior client leadership, team management, commercial oversight, and driving strong integrated commerce programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of business strategy for the client portfolio and deliver profitable growth.
- Build strong senior client relationships and develop a deep understanding of their business needs and priorities.
- Identify and develop new business and organic growth opportunities.
- Lead and develop an internal team of Account Directors and Managers.
- Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and drive accountability across the team.
- Motivate, inspire, and contribute positively to the culture of WPP Unite and Barrows.
- Monitor program performance against client objectives and recommend opportunities to optimize.
- Partner closely with Strategy, Creative, Design, and other teams to identify solutions and bring ideas through to execution.
- Lead commercial scoping, pricing, forecasting, and management of client scopes of work.
- Proactively manage changes to scope, timelines, and deliverables and set clear expectations with clients and internal teams.
- Apply strong strategic thinking to connect Barrows’ capabilities with client growth objectives.
- Provide clear reporting, analysis, and business updates to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience within a marketing agency, retailer, commerce, or digital organization.
- Strong experience leading senior client relationships and integrated account teams.
- Experience with shopper marketing, retail, brand, and trade activation.
- CPG experience strongly preferred.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Experience with commercial scoping, forecasting, and account financial management.
- Proven track record of growing client relationships and identifying new revenue opportunities.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunger for growth.
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be decisive, pragmatic, and perform well under pressure.
- Highly organized, accountable, and attentive to detail.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $152,500 - $181,000. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual experience.
