Groundskeeper - Part Time
Wage: $15.68 (DOE/DOQ) – Part-time, up to 19 hours per week year-round, no benefits.
About the role
Under the general supervision of the Building Service Worker, responsible for care and maintenance of landscaping throughout the grounds.
Responsibilities
- Operate mowers, weed eaters, trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
- Use hand tools and some small power tools.
- Fix sprinklers and water pipes.
- Weed and maintain flowerbeds.
- Perform a variety of general custodial functions such as emptying trash, picking up litter, cleaning windows, sweeping, and cleaning restrooms and other areas.
- Perform other duties in connection with the operation of the facility.
Requirements
- Some experience in operation of mowers, weed eaters, and other equipment, and knowledge in landscaping.
- Considerable knowledge of hand tools and mower usage, minor engine repair work.
- Ability to maintain service records of equipment and repair sprinkling systems.
- Ability to perform work requiring light, medium, and occasionally heavy physical effort.
- Ability to follow direction and work well with others.
- Must possess or be able to possess a valid Utah Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Must be adaptable to changing work hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
