Groundskeeper Maintenance Facility Services MHB

Responsibilities

• Maintain the exterior of the hospital, as well as Mercy Satellites, with emphasis on snow removal, shrubbery, flowers, hedges and grounds.
• Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Experience: Two (2) years experience as a groundskeeper required OR Five (5) years of experience in nursery/landscaping required.
• Valid NYS driver's license required and maintained.
• Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
  • Know when to plant, seed and fertilize.
  • Have knowledge of type and care of flowers and greenery.
  • Be able to demonstrate safe operation of power equipment such as front-end loader, tractors, mowers, snow removal equipment, powered sprayers, etc.
  • Be able to climb ladders.
  • Be hard working.
  • Be able to spend long hours outside.
