Grounds Worker

About the role

Department: Physical Plant. Immediate Supervisor: Grounds Supervisor. Positions Supervised: None. Term: 12 Months Full-time Non-exempt. Position Description: Performs all duties and completes necessary actions for the maintenance and upkeep of the campus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SAFETY FIRST for your area of responsibility
• Perform daily campus‑wide cleanup duties in addition to cleaning roads, curbs, parking areas, drainage traps, and sidewalks
• Grass mowing, edging, trimming, and flower beds maintenance
• Collecting leaves and sticks after weather events
• Maintaining assigned equipment
• Attend and participate in all divisional meetings
• Works with other departments as assigned in a positive and cooperative manner
• Perform other duties requested by the Grounds Supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or High School Equivalent
• Prior experience in grounds services
