Grounds Lead

About the role

The Grounds Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the grounds maintenance including landscaping, lawn care, and facility upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the grounds team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Plan and execute seasonal landscaping projects and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Work closely with the facilities manager to coordinate maintenance activities and budgeting.
• Supervise the purchasing and inventory management of supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in horticulture, landscape architecture, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in grounds maintenance or similar role.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in grounds maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
