Ground Crew Laborer

Position Overview

We are currently looking to add a dynamic Ground Crew Laborer to our passionate team of tree care professionals. Your office is outdoors, and you get a new view every day!

Job Duties

• You will assist the crews with general labor tasks as needed and assist with projects.
• Performing all aspects of Arboriculture and Horticulture services safely and skillfully for our clients. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood
• Planting, stump grinding
• Removal of small trees, landscaping, fertilization, Plant healthcare treatments, Airspade work.
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, material handlers and more.
• Be part of the most progressive greenspace stewardship team in the industry!

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Required: Valid driver's license
• Able to complete the Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire
• Able to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• PREFERRED: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• PREFERRED: ISA Certified Arborist ®, ISA Certified Tree Worker ®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional ®
