Grocery & Receiving Department Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking and energetic Grocery Department Manager to join Bi-Mart. This position builds, promotes, and delivers a high degree of customer service, including prompt and friendly service to our customers, precise handling of customer transactions, ensuring sales clerks receive all required breaks, and working closely with store management to build teamwork and pride of ownership within the store.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and friendly service to customers
• Handle customer transactions accurately
• Ensure sales clerks receive all required breaks
• Work closely with store management to build teamwork and pride of ownership
• Assist with inventory replenishment
• Properly unload trucks
• Help train new employees on department responsibilities

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Punctuality and a positive, friendly attitude
• Ability to set priorities and organize workload
• Problem-solving skills and ability to offer solutions to customers
• Capacity to engage with and assist a diverse range of individuals
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Strategic thinking and leadership abilities

Experience

• 1+ year(s) in retail positions such as cashier, sales associate, bagger, or courtesy clerk
• Prior experience at retail brands like Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, or Albertsons is an asset

Schedule

Bi-Mart stores are open 8:00 am - 8:00 pm Monday - Saturday and 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Sunday. Hours may vary depending on workload and assignment.

Pay

USD $19.75 - USD $21.40 /Hr., paid bi-weekly with on-demand payment option.
