GROCERY/MARKDOWN COORDINATOR

Responsibilities

• Aid department managers and store leadership in achieving sales and profit targets.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and fresh store environment.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to all quality assurance standards.
• Implement and promote the Friendly and Fresh strategy.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Operate within a fast-paced environment.
• Manage store operations, including handling fresh and non-perishable items.
• Utilize Zebra (TC-52) and markdown equipment.
• Perform daily code checks, product rotation, and price reductions.
• Coach and train back-up coordinators.
• Display a positive attitude and sense of urgency.
• Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience in store operations, fresh, and/or non-perishable items.
• Familiarity with Zebra functionality (TC-52) and markdown equipment.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Able to work in the cold and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Meticulous and organized with the ability to complete tasks promptly.
• Desired: Retail experience, second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
• Compliance with local, state, and federal laws, safety, and food safety regulations.
• Dependability and willingness to work any shift, including early mornings.
• Understanding of company code dating, rotation, and markdown policies.
• Excellent communication skills, providing feedback to others.
• Compliance with safety procedures and identification of unsafe conditions.
