About the role
The Practice Manager at Henderson is responsible for overseeing the production staff, ensuring they execute projects efficiently and effectively. They manage employee performance, guide professional development, and foster a collaborative team environment. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and a proven track record in leadership and project management.
Responsibilities
- Aligns resources with projects to enhance labor efficiency and meet client expectations.
- Manages staffing needs and provides feedback to the Practice Director and Sector Operations Director.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for client relationships within the designated region.
- Ensures project deliverables adhere to scope, schedule, cost, and quality standards.
- Assists in proposal development and fee structure determination.
- Supervises production staff in project execution and client service.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, science, technology, marketing, or business.
- Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in personnel or project management.
- Proven track record in growing and developing client-focused engineering teams.
- Excellent motivation, team leadership, and goal achievement capabilities.
- Broad proficiency in engineering design fundamentals and advanced knowledge of industry codes, guides, and standards.
Qualifications

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
