Job Responsibilities
- Execute marketing plans, duties, and events by working seamlessly with other Griffin Media divisions, departments, and external vendors.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and understand the importance of meeting deadlines, benchmarks, and overcommunication.
- Work closely with Director of Radio Marketing to develop marketing plans.
- Effectively manage their own timelines and deadlines to meet overall company objectives and goals.
- Develop engaging content for various platforms including social media, website, and email newsletters.
- Carefully coordinate promotions, community events, station giveaways and partnerships with local organizations to enhance the station’s visibility and engagement.
- Aid in station giveaways, including prize distribution.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including driving an automobile for company business.
Qualifications
- Essential Qualities: Humble, Hungry, Smart (People Smart), Positive Attitude, Sense of Urgency.
- Skills and Requirements: Formal education equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Broadcast Communications or related field; two years marketing, sales, project management, or media experience preferred; organized with exceptional attention to detail skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint; as well as Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop; a working knowledge of Basecamp encouraged; willingness and enthusiasm to learn new systems; effective oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality; experience or interest in coordinating corporate and community events; ability to make quick and appropriate decisions and gain the cooperation of others; some in-state travel required; must be flexible/available to work some evening and weekend events; must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and have a driving record acceptable to the company; capable of handling the physical and mental requirements including: ability to verbally communicate in English, read computer monitor information (words and data), hear detailed spoken word, remain sedentary and to travel to work location, perform manual dexterity tasks with hands, fingers, analyze data, concentrate, reason, and write, handle emotional stress, lift 50 pounds unaided.
