About the Role
This position serves as a trainer within Kirkwood's Center for Hospitality Excellence, responsible for supervising the learning experiences of students in all areas of The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, The Kirkwood Center for Hospitality Arts, and The Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education. The role involves welcoming patrons, seating them, and ensuring the quality of facilities and service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas, providing them with menus/specials.
- Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs.
- Answer all incoming calls, taking reservations, messages, and In-Room dining orders, and relaying information to appropriate staff.
- Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed.
- Be versed with all menus to answer any guest questions.
- Perform other related work duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work.

Requirements
- Must be 16 years old.
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills and customer service skills.
- Preference given to candidates with a post-high school degree.
- Preference given to candidates with a minimum of two years full-time experience in a related hospitality setting or equivalent education and work experience.
