Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to safely and productively perform driving operations using a variety of equipment.
  • Communicate as well as listen effectively.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel.
  • Perform all duties safely and productively to ensure quality work.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify any safety and maintenance issues.
  • Accurately complete daily vehicle inspection forms.
  • Perform daily housekeeping on truck.
  • Safely operate and maintain truck.
  • Properly load, secure & unload material.
  • Accurately complete load tickets where applicable.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations.
  • Maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
  • Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
  • Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One or more years’ experience operating commercial vehicles.
  • Knowledge of the aspects of construction operations.
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and CDL required.
  • Able to work day shifts and night shifts.
  • Shifts may vary according to project demands.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Willing to travel if job requires.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
