Duties and Responsibilities
- Possesses and uses knowledge of brand strategy and client’s product, in collaboration with creative, business, and marketing teams, to produce strategically targeted and integrated materials. Works as a team in brainstorming, planning, prioritizing, and completing assigned projects.
- Uses and demonstrates advanced understanding of Macintosh graphics software programs, typography, production, and digital pre-press tools and techniques in producing digital files for electronic or print output.
- Works closely with Graphics Supervisor/Manager and design staff to ensure graphics consistency across all projects; explains and supports the standards when evaluating projects with creative team and clients. Creates and maintains templates and documents detailed specifications.
- Produces assignments with speed and accuracy to meet time, budget, and client needs. Keeps up-to-date records of project time; strictly follows departmental procedures for naming, storing, and archiving digital files.
- Affixes assistance with training and mentoring new or temporary staff on different product mixes. Troubleshoots technical issues in text conversion, layout, and printing. Pursues and shares best practices with the team. Acts as backup supervisor in manager’s absence.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (BA, BFA) in Graphic Design or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
- Minimum of three-five years experience in a design studio, advertising agency or corporate communications environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Creative Suite on a Macintosh platform.
- Possesses strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to take direction, meet deadlines, and perform and direct multiple tasks.
- Full knowledge of offset print production.
- Basic understanding of web design (HTML, Images, and Flash).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating system.
- Willingness to work in a team environment. Possesses strong interpersonal skills and maintains a professional demeanor.
