Graphic Designer-Junior

About the role

We're Community Journals, a local media company serving Greenville, SC. We're looking to add a junior graphic designer to our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio and 0-2 years of experience, with a passion for creating visually appealing and functional designs.

Responsibilities

• Process client-designed ads for print and digital
• Adhere to brand-specific language and guidelines
• Create in-house marketing materials and office collateral
• Auxiliary in executing marketing programs for Community Journals
• Develop multimedia marketing packages for clients
• Create spec ads and campaigns for sales representatives
• Collaborate with sales reps, clients, and leadership team
• Liaise with project teams to meet deadlines

Requirements

• Demonstrated range in graphic design skills with a stellar portfolio
• Ability to work with a team to transform visions into final deliverables
• Comfortable presenting to peers and executive-level stakeholders
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
• Understanding of web design process
• Experience in producing online display advertising and animated ads
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Motion graphics and video editing skills a plus
• Utilizing digital design programs such as Creatopy a plus
