About the role
Elkhorn Marketing Group is looking for a Graphic Designer who can bring strong creative judgment, polished design execution, and thoughtful client communication to our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Create original design concepts for print and digital marketing materials, including logos, brand concepts, presentations, brochures, social media graphics, newsletters, event invitations, website visuals, and client-facing PDFs.
- Make thoughtful design decisions related to layout, typography, color, imagery, visual hierarchy, spacing, and overall brand presentation.
- Translate complex or text-heavy information into clear, organized, and visually engaging materials.
- Maintain brand consistency across multiple client accounts while adapting designs to each client’s unique identity, audience, and goals.
- Own design projects from concept through final delivery, including creative direction, revisions, file preparation, and final quality review.
- Present design concepts to clients and internal team members, explain the reasoning behind creative decisions, and recommend the best path forward.
- Evaluate client and internal feedback, determine how to incorporate revisions, and maintain design quality throughout the process.
- Communicate directly with clients and team members to clarify goals, manage expectations, and keep projects moving.
- Manage multiple projects for multiple clients simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Review work for layout, formatting, alignment, consistency, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and overall polish before delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio showing polished design work, original creative thinking, and a clear understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, layout, and composition.
- Proven experience as a graphic designer, preferably in an agency, marketing, financial services, or client-facing design environment.
- Ability to design professional materials for a high-net-worth audience and for clients in a polished, relationship-driven industry.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to catch inconsistencies in formatting, spacing, alignment, copy, and brand usage.
- Ability to turn complex information into clear, concise, and visually compelling materials.
- Strong writing, spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Word.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present ideas, explain design choices, receive feedback, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing several different projects for different clients at the same time.
- Flexibility to grow and adapt as our company, services, systems, and client needs continue to evolve.
- Additional experience with website design, HTML, AI tools, video editing, or financial services marketing is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
- Competitive salary based on skill and experience: $40,000 to $70,000 annually
