Job Summary
The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine is seeking a Grants and Contracts Officer to facilitate the grant process post-award for the department. Your main focus will be on post-award grant coordination. You will also have some responsibilities related to pre-award grant coordination at times.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the grant process post-award for the university.
- Cross-departmentally coordinate to research, prepare, finalize, submit, and follow-up on industry, foundation, and/or government grants.
- Research and draft proposals, develop budgets, and manage the submission process ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain records, and communicate with funders.
- Establish relationships with foundations and private contributors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's (or equivalency) + 10 years or a Master's (or equivalency) + 8 years of directly related work experience.
- A thorough knowledge of established accounting principles and practices;
- Spreadsheet and database skills;
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, human relation, and effective communication skills.
