Accountabilities
- Develop high-quality grant applications and supporting funding strategies that advance organizational goals.
- Collaborate with grant leadership and program teams to identify proposal concepts, opportunities, and organizational needs.
- Develop grant applications that effectively communicate mission, objectives, strategies, and expected outcomes.
- Work with internal stakeholders to collect relevant program details, impact data, and supporting materials.
- Research grant opportunities and remain informed about funding requirements, deadlines, and application processes.
- Prepare and submit accurate grant proposals within established timelines.
- Maintain organized records of grant submissions, applications, and funding outcomes.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to ongoing grant development activities.
Requirements
- A strong communicator with experience in grant writing, research, and nonprofit-focused storytelling.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing independent work while collaborating with a distributed team.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in grant writing, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
- Strong research and writing abilities, with the capacity to create compelling narratives aligned with organizational goals.
- Familiarity with grant application processes, funding requirements, and proposal development.
- Ability to understand programs, initiatives, and funding priorities to create effective submissions.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and deadline management.
- Ability to work independently, stay motivated, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills when working with cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience writing successful grant proposals is preferred.
