About the Opportunity
The Applications Analyst II role focuses on designing, configuring, and optimizing information systems solutions to meet complex clinical and business needs. This position contributes to the effective deployment, integration, and maintenance of healthcare technology that directly supports organizational operations, clinical workflows, and patient care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and specify scalable information system solutions tailored to address evolving clinical and business requirements
- Define, document, and specify detailed technical methods, validation steps, and standard operating procedures for system installation and deployment
- Collaborate with clinical staff, operational leadership, and IT infrastructure teams to map existing workflows to technical configurations
- Conduct systemic troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and application testing to resolve system bugs and performance degradation
- Maintain and optimize application configurations to ensure data integrity, maximum uptime, and system security
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical specifications, system maps, and user-facing release notes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a closely related quantitative field; or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience in applications analysis, system design, and software implementation, preferably within a large healthcare or enterprise environment
- Proven technical proficiency with systems configuration, requirements gathering, database structures, and workflow mapping methodologies
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities to address complex software integration challenges
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical specifications into actionable operational solutions
- Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priority tasks under strict timelines
- Preferred Qualifications: Direct hands-on experience configuring or administering enterprise healthcare applications (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or major clinical modules); foundational understanding of healthcare compliance standards, data privacy structures, and HL7/FHIR integration concepts
Pay Range and Compensation Package
Target compensation framework: Base salary or hourly parameters are determined dynamically based upon the candidate's core application specializations, healthcare IT system tenure, and relevant professional certifications
