Graduate Therapist Intern – St. Vincent Villa

About the role

The Graduate Intern at St. Vincent’s Villa provides individual, family and group therapy as well as case management services to a small caseload of children (ages 5-13) in the residential program under the supervision of a Licensed Clinician (LCSW-C or LCPC).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family and group therapy to a small caseload of children (ages 5-13)
• Perform case management services for assigned clients
• Participate in a multidisciplinary team
• Engage with the community through case management activities
• Complete various clinical documentation related to the treatment of clients
• Receive weekly individual supervision and day-to-day clinical practice
• Routinely offered opportunities for clinical group supervision, trainings, and exposure to other Catholic Charities programs
• Have the potential to transition to employment upon successful completion of internship and related licensing exams

Requirements

This position requires a high level of initiative and independence.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Social Work or Psychology
• Passing score on the Praxis II exam or equivalent
• Experience working with children and families
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
