About the role
The Martinos Center TMS Core Laboratory at The General Hospital Corporation Mass General Brigham is seeking a graduate research assistant to assist with research involving Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Electroencephalography (EEG), and their multi-modal combinations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in electrical/biomedical engineering and experience with neuromodulation research.
Responsibilities
- Designs experiments and modifies techniques as necessary to meet research and experimental needs.
- Captures and records study data, maintains laboratory notebooks, and participates in large animal experiments and laboratory research.
- Synthesizes and interprets information from experiments, performs data analysis using advanced statistical techniques, and collaborates with PIs to draft manuscripts and present findings at professional conferences.
- Interprets results, develops new investigative techniques, and collaborates with PIs to determine the most appropriate direction of research.
- Participates in and presents in Lab meetings and research seminars.
- Provides functional guidance to technical and animal care personnel involved in projects.
- Works safely within the laboratory environment and wears personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled student in a graduate degree program in medicine, biological sciences, or related field.
- Experience conducting independent research in a research lab, particularly in transplantation immunology.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
