About the role

The candidate must be able to successfully work on projects and work closely with our internal and external clients, perform flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure. Halff is seeking a skilled professional to work in a highly collaborative environment to create cost-effective, maintainable, and sustainable solutions for municipalities, governmental agencies and developers.

Responsibilities

  • Support project teams in the design and analysis of water resources design projects.
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
  • Aid in the development of master drainage plans.
  • Prepare and review engineering documents and reports.
  • Prepare and review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years in water resources.
  • Resume projects should attempt to demonstrate experience in channel design, storm drain analysis and design, watershed modeling, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, or master drainage planning.
  • New grads are encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree.
  • Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or plan on obtaining within six months of start date.
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS Pro.
  • Familiarity with XP-SWMM, InfoWorks ICM.
  • Robust written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, self-directed yet a team player, with a focus on quality, integrity and success.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
