About the role

Singhofen Halff has an immediate opening for an experienced Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources team in Tampa, FL. The candidate must be able to successfully work on projects and work closely with our internal and external clients, perform flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure.

What You Will Do

  • Work under a Water Resources Team Leader in the development of Water Resources design projects for the FDOT, FEMA, Water Management Districts, FDEP, and local municipalities.
  • Perform flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure.
  • Work closely with the other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that contribute to the growth and safety of Florida communities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

What You Will Need

  • Experience in water resources/public works (preferably 3 years).
  • Resume projects should attempt to demonstrate experience in channels design, storm drain analysis and design, watershed modeling, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and master drainage planning.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree.
  • Technical experience with ICPR4 (Stormwise) and ArcGIS, preferred.
  • Preferred technical experience and/or familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, water resources planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure.
  • Robust written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, self-directed yet a team player, with a focus on quality, integrity and success.
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications
