Graduate Engineer I, Mechanical

About the role

Halff is seeking New Graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for a Mechanical Graduate Engineer supporting our MEP team.

Responsibilities

• Basic design and layout of HVAC air and hydronic systems
• Build strong working relationships with both clients and internal contacts with other Halff offices
• Collaborate effectively with other engineers, architects, and project stakeholders including owners
• Perform routine calculations and equipment layout under supervision of senior staff

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture/Engineering
• Working knowledge of IMC and ASHRAE 90.1
• Three or more years of HVAC and energy modeling experience
• Experience in Trane Trace 700 or Carrier HAP
• Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD production experience
• Ability to obtain the Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience with HVAC air and hydronic concepts
• Capable of performing routine calculations and equipment layout
