Our site in Burnet is seeking an Engineering Technician I in receiving to join our team.

About the role

In this role, you will start, monitor, and troubleshoot purification systems. You will perform decontamination, sampling, filling, and inspecting products as part of a team that ensures our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality while meeting customer timelines. The role involves cross-functional collaboration.

Once fully trained and certified, the shift schedule is a 3-2-2-3 rotation on day shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM).

Responsibilities

  • Perform decontamination of manufacturing equipment
  • Sample, fill, and inspect final products
  • Pull chemistry samples and submit to the lab for analysis
  • Perform inspection of complete product to ensure proper quality standards
  • Maintain the lab, including preventive maintenance, ordering supplies, cleanup, and waste disposal
  • Ensure on-time delivery of high-volume products from production to shipment
  • Propose and implement process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Knowledge of decontamination, valve building, harvesting, filling, and morph solids
  • Good communication skills, training experience, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to keep up with daily production demands
  • Accountability for good attendance and consistent daily performance
  • Discipline to follow work instructions and standard operating processes
  • Dedication to excellence by being proactive with tasks and a willingness to perform whatever task is needed
  • Creativity and innovation to improve productivity, cost savings, and safety
  • Commitment to operating safely and with the highest quality standards
  • Frequently lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 130 lbs
  • Flexibility to rapidly respond to new situations and perform multiple tasks

Qualifications

  • 0–1 years of experience in a technical field (chemical, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another technical field is a plus
  • Previous chemical handling experience
  • Previous manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of inventory management and SAP experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45000
