Job Summary

The Admissions Graduate Assistant will provide support with the day-to-day operations of the Columbia College Admissions Office.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must be accepted in to the Graduate Program at Columbia College.
  • Must have experience as an athlete (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a college environment.
  • Experience supervising student ambassadors and student workers.

Supervision Given

  • Student Ambassadors.
  • Student Workers.

Supervision Received

  • Operations Manager.
  • Events Operations Manager.

Physical Requirements

  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • Talk and hear.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Climb or balance.
  • Stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Type on a computer keyboard and use a computer monitor on a regular basis.

Work Conditions

  • Rarely exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Possible exposure to hazards and physical risks to personal safety may occur while operating certain equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.

Other Duties As Assigned

  • Answer incoming calls and greet, assist, and direct students, staff, vendors, and visitors as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager, Events Operations Manager, and other staff in the day-to-day operations of the Admissions office.
  • Aid in event planning, setup, tear-down, and general operation.
  • Aid in giving campus tours to prospective students and visitors to campus.
  • Aid in recruitment of new students to Columbia College by giving tours, working events, doing outreach by phone, text and email.
  • May require some weekend and evening work.

Pay

$15 - $15 per hour (Pay range may vary based on geographic location).

Schedule

Part-time.
