Graduate Assistant (Administrative)
The J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School’s Office of Graduate Educational Engagement Programs (OGEEP) seeks a graduate student to serve as the Graduate Programming Assistant for the academic year. This is a half-time graduate assistantship.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in event planning and execution
- Cooking and catering orders
- Collaborating with graduate faculty and campus partners
- Supporting logistical tasks across OGEEP initiatives
- Creating and maintaining Canvas course sites
- Developing and administering evaluations
- Cooking and catering orders
- Coordinating surveys for participants and faculty involved in OGEEP programming
- Helping to track the academic and professional outcomes of graduate student participants and alumni engaged with OGEEP initiatives
Requirements
- Prior experience supporting educational programming, professional development, or student engagement initiatives
- Experience working with graduate students in an advising, mentoring, or programmatic capacity
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, and staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience with Canvas, survey design, or program assessment is preferred

- A commitment to enhancing the co-curricular graduate student experience
Compensation: This is a half-time graduate assistantship. The position will be hired at Penn State grade 18 for candidates currently enrolled in a doctoral program and at grade 16 for candidates enrolled in a master’s program. Final grade assignment is based on current enrollment status and qualifications at the time of hire.
