Grader (Corinth)

JOB SUMMARY

The Grader inspects apparel and merchandise for quality, separates items into boutique, saleable, and salvage categories, and ensures accurate counts while meeting production goals.

JOB DUTIES

• Adheres to Goodwill's Guiding Principle: Process donations within 24 hours.
• Ensures goods flow to the sales floor.
• Achieves and exceeds MGI production goals of 4 Tallboys per day.
• Separates apparel into boutique, saleable, and salvage categories.
• Maintains a neat and clean sorting and processing area.
• Checks donated goods for defects like tears, stains, and missing buttons.
• Handles equipment safely following safety procedures.
• Maintains accurate counts and produces the required number of Tallboys daily.
• Reviews and follows Consumer Product Safety Commission recall bulletins.
• Maintains a clean sorting and processing area.
• Follows safety and security practices, reports hazards, and provides feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the TLC and/or ATL.

PRODUCTION GOALS

The Grader ensures accurate counts and achieves and exceeds the MGI production goal of 4 Tallboys per day.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends with a flexible schedule.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS

• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with TLC, ATL, team members, customers, and donors.
• Maintains a positive, friendly attitude and neat, clean appearance.
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing, performs basic math, and attends in-service training as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
• Exceeds MGI production goals of 4 Tallboys per day.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, and basic math abilities.
• Available to work evenings and weekends with a flexible schedule.
