Kraft Heinz Massillon factory manufactures frozen food products including frozen dinner entrees, spinach dip, and kids’ meals under brands such as Smart Ones, Smart Made, Devour, Kraft, TGI Fridays, and Crave. All production is supervised by FDA, ODA, two on-site federal USDA inspectors, and company quality inspectors. The facility employs approximately 370 employees, with union hourly workers represented by Local 17A of the United Food & Commercial Workers Union. The plant operates day and afternoon shifts for production, with a midnight shift dedicated to sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Learn the safe and proper operation of equipment.
• Perform set-up and start-up procedures for equipment as needed.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues with line performance related to equipment operation.
• Maintain downtime records during line operation.
• Monitor and communicate process or product abnormalities to supervisors.
• Perform weight checks and document as needed.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
• Complete required observations and training as scheduled.
• Support Plant Quality Systems and follow Food Safety requirements.
• Operate on any production line or shift based on business needs.
• Follow all factory and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• Perform basic mathematical skills.
• Read, write, and comprehend written instructions and technical applications.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders/steps.
• Frequently use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Frequently reach with hands and arms.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally push/move/roll up to 400 pounds.
• Work at heights greater than five feet.
• Close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Work in high-noise environments requiring ear protection.
• Work in hot, cold, wet, and humid conditions.
• Work near moving mechanical parts, in high or confining spaces.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.

Pay

Pay range from $21.00 to $23.22 per hour, with increases every 6 months. Incentive bonus eligibility.

Schedule

3-shift operation: day, afternoon, and midnight shifts (sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse). Monday through Friday with possible overtime and weekends during peak season. Hours vary by shift.
