GPS - Financial Accounting Advisory Services - Senior Manager
About the role
The Government & Public Sector-Financial Accounting Advisory Services (GPS-FAAS) team at EY is growing rapidly. As a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in this growth by developing and communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally. You will collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas. Regular travel will be required as you will be meeting with key clients.
Responsibilities
- Think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues.

- Direct field work, inform supervisors of the audit engagement status, and manage assurance staff performance.
- Develop people through effectively delegating audit tasks and providing guidance to assurance staff.
- Contribute ideas/opinions to the assurance teams and listen/respond to other assurance team members' views.
- Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment.
- Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with assurance team members, and enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or a graduate degree with approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a U.S. CPA license.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Dedication to teamwork and leadership.
- Integrity within a professional environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher.
Qualifications
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in a relevant field.
Skills
- Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with audit client personnel.
- Assess audit clients' satisfaction and proactively maintain contact with the audit client throughout the year.
- Direct field work, inform supervisors of the audit engagement status, and manage assurance staff performance.
- Provide performance feedback, training, and performance reviews for assurance staff.
- Contribute ideas/opinions to the assurance teams and listen/respond to other assurance team members' views.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $146,700 to $335,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $176,000 to $380,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
