About the role
The Key Carrying Lead at Golf Galaxy plays a crucial role in ensuring brand standards are met and providing excellent service to customers. They also guide and mentor teammates to enhance their skills and foster a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to customers and provide direction to teammates.
- Lead by example, demonstrating empathy, resilience, optimism, and collaboration.
- Supports building and hiring a strong team through in-store interviews and department tours.
- Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate and fostering mutual trust, respect, and strong store recognition.
- Plans and organizes the store's workload 30 days out, aligning on necessary workforce and executing daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events.
- Leverages teammates to ensure brand standards are met, programs and processes are executed daily, and tasks are delegated based on priority.
- Assists store leadership with general supervision, including opening and closing the store, performing Front End and Cash Office functions, and processing firearms sales in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Maintains company merchandising and presentation standards, adheres to loss prevention policies, and assists with training teammates on company procedures and programs.
- Coaches and develops oneself and others, prioritizing continuous improvement and maintaining confidentiality of all Company information.
- Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and safe, supporting the vision of the organization and delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with the use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
