GM Automotive Service Technician

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning.
  • Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Communicates directly with the Service Advisor and provides an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

  • Two years’ experience as an Automotive Technician or more.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Qualifications

  • To qualify for hiring bonuses you must have ASE or similar technical certifications.
  • Three or more years’ experience as an Automotive Technician preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for 10 hours or more.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.

Work Environment

This job operates within an automotive dealership service department. This role routinely uses machinery, equipment, and chemicals to maintenance and repair automobiles.
