Glue Mixer

Responsibilities

• Administer glue spread checks every hour and maintain a quality check log.
• Maintain 5S in the glue loft area, holding tank area, and surrounding area.
• Perform minor maintenance and preventive maintenance (PMs) in the glue mixer area.
• Take inventories and place orders for gluing materials; ensure proper kanban levels are maintained.
• Participate in glue studies and trials.
• Work closely with Spreader and Press crews to improve quality and maintain process controls.
• Participate in and initiate problem‑solving related to quality and the gluing process.
• Occasionally fill in for operators during absences.
• Drive forklift to move gluing materials and load flour.
• Follow written and verbal job instructions.
• Provide feedback and apply critical thinking to improve processes.

Requirements

• Ability to lift a minimum of 65 pounds on average.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to provide feedback and apply critical thinking.
