Glue Mixer 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Administer glue spread checks every hour and maintain a quality check log
• Maintain 5S in the glue loft area, holding tank area and the surrounding area
• Perform minor maintenance and PMs in the glue mixer area
• Takes inventories and places orders for gluing materials
• Ensures proper kanban levels are maintained
• Participates in glue studies and trials
• Works closely with Spreader and Press crews to improve quality and maintain process controls
• Participates and initiates problem solving related to quality and the gluing process
• Occasionally fills in for operators during absences
• Drives forklift to move gluing materials and load flour
• Follows written and verbal job instructions
• Provides feedback and applies critical thinking
• Lifts on average a minimum of 65 pounds
