About the role

The Supply Chain & Operations Leadership Development Rotational Program at Weber provides you with the opportunity to rotate through four diverse roles within key areas of our Supply Chain & Operations organization over a two-year period. During each of the four assignments lasting six months each, participants will take on full-time responsibility of a functional role while also completing a strategic project to be identified and developed with leadership. You will gain a holistic view of the organization through development opportunities including on-the-job immersive responsibilities, strategic projects and initiatives, site tours, mentoring, exposure to supply chain executives, and networking events.

The rotations may be based in Weber’s Palatine, IL Headquarters, Huntley, IL factory and distribution center, and/or Elgin, IL warehouse. Most rotations employ a hybrid office/work-from-home schedule. Program participants should anticipate finding a role at the conclusion of the program in the broader organization and be prepared to take on leadership roles at an accelerated rate.

Responsibilities

During each rotation, you will quickly get acclimated to departmental expectations and set goals with the team leader. Rotation options may include the following functional departments:

  • Supply And Production Planning
    • The Supply Planning team ensures we have the correct inventory of raw materials, components, and sourced finished goods to continue manufacturing products and fulfilling on-time delivery of orders placed by our customers. This team also regularly communicates with vendors to ensure expectations are clear and being met.
    • Demand Planning schedules supply chain needs for product lines and individual products by analyzing historical data, predictive modeling, and collaborating with our commercial teams.
    • Production Planning is responsible for planning manufacturing production schedules with consideration to demand forecasts, capacity plans, and inventory turns.
  • Strategic Sourcing

    The Global Strategic Sourcing team is responsible for sourcing all items purchased by Weber including raw materials, components, packaging material, finished goods, tooling, office equipment/supplies, and other vendor-provided services. Their efforts include supplier selection, contract negotiation, project management and cross-functional coordination, supplier relationship building, and management.

  • Operations Leadership

    In this rotation, you will supervise direct line employees in one of our manufacturing or distribution center environments to ensure timely, efficient, and safe workload completion.

  • Global Logistics

    Responsible for moving Weber products into and out of our facilities globally. This includes a focus on warehouse operations, customer logistics, and order fulfillment. Strategic thought goes into identifying modes of transporting materials and goods, ensuring timely and complete product allocation to our customers.

  • Quality

    The primary objective of this team is to ensure industry-leading quality as viewed through the eyes of the customer. This is accomplished via a metrics and analytical-driven approach with a focus on product, supplier, and manufacturing quality.

  • Supply Chain Strategy And Cost Leadership

    The focus of this team is to inform manufacturing strategy decisions and lead manufacturing cost improvement initiatives. This team selects and implements continuous improvement, QVE, and manufacturing efficiency projects that improve productivity while reducing costs.

Requirements

We’re looking for well-rounded, intelligent, and driven individuals who have the passion to become future leaders with Weber's global Supply Chain organization.

  • Previous internship or work experience in supply chain management, engineering, and/or manufacturing experience desired.
  • Four-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Management, Logistics, Planning or related field.
  • Strong leadership skills and a track record of achieving results.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and build relationships.
  • Experience in SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.

Pay

Salary Range: $73,500.00/Annually
