About the role

As a Global Project Planning Manager, you play a central role in shaping, implementing, and safeguarding global project scheduling standards across all Voith Hydro regions. You support planning excellence throughout the organization, strengthen regional capabilities, and enable robust, timely, and high-quality project execution.

This position can be filled at any of our global Voith Hydro locations in EMEA (except Germany), South America, China, India, or APAC. Remote work policies will adhere to the regulations of the specific location where you are based—this is not a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, standardize, and continuously improve planning methods, processes, and tools.
  • Implement global scheduling standards across all regions.
  • Train and coach regional project schedulers in systems, tools, and best practices.
  • Support project teams during early project phases and in developing realistic baseline schedules.
  • Assist regional teams in preparing project schedules during the offer/tender phase.
  • Ensure feasibility, consistency, and quality of project schedules.
  • Ensure adequate qualification and availability of project schedulers in the regions.
  • Participate in regional project reviews and assess planning quality and risks.
  • Conduct quality assessments and due diligence checks of project schedules.
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement measures to increase schedule reliability.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • 10 years of experience in project scheduling (e.g., with Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • In-depth knowledge of international project execution and scheduling requirements, ideally in power plant or large-scale plant construction.
  • Proven experience in training, coaching, or functional leadership of planning teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and confident presence in a global environment.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking with advanced problem-solving abilities.
  • Expertise in scheduling tools and the ability to clearly present complex information.
  • Leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate without direct authority.
  • High initiative, sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
