Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is a joint venture between two industry leaders focused on setting the standards for software-defined vehicles. This role is an exceptional opportunity for an HR professional looking to specialize in global mobility within a fast-paced, cutting-edge joint venture.
Responsibilities
- Case Tracking & Execution: Assist with the day-to-day administration of a growing global immigration caseload (US, Canada, and Europe), ensuring all milestones are tracked accurately.
- Filing & Quality Control: Review immigration filings for content, data accuracy, and completeness before submission.
- Compliance Maintenance: Maintain Public Access Files (PAF) and internal immigration records in strict compliance with DOL, USCIS, and international regulatory bodies.
- Vendor Coordination: Act as a daily point of contact for external immigration counsel to route documents, follow up on outstanding cases, and track SLAs.
- Expat Logistics Assistance: Support the operationalization of RV Tech expat policies, helping coordinate housing, schooling, transport, and onboarding logistics for international arrivals.
- High-Touch Customer Service: Serve as a responsive first line of contact for relocating employees and candidates, answering foundational policy questions with empathy and clarity.
- Data & Dashboard Management: Maintain internal dashboards and trackers detailing assignment costs, visa expiration timelines, and overall headcount metrics for leadership.
- Financial & Payroll Admin: Assist with the collection of compensation and benefits data required for shadow payroll processing and year-end tax equalization workflows.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of foundational experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or HR Operations. (Prior specialized experience in mobility or immigration is a plus, but not required).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, or equivalent practical experience.
- Operational Excellence: Proven ability to manage a high volume of administrative tasks and cases simultaneously without sacrificing detail or accuracy.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle sensitive, confidential employee data and stressful relocation situations with high emotional intelligence.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient with core HRIS/People Systems, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and standard data tracking tools (Excel, Smartsheet, or proprietary case management software).
