About the role
CIRCOR International is seeking a Global Market Manager Power Generation (m/f/d) to lead the company's efforts in the global Power Generation market. This role focuses on both core businesses like turbine auxiliary applications and emerging markets such as renewable power applications.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute global OEM account plans
- Own specification strategy across major customer platforms
- Deploy global OEM engagement playbook
- Ensure CIRCOR is a preferred technical partner in customers' subsystems
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities in renewable power generation, energy transition applications, and new power architectures
- Assess market attractiveness, application requirements, and competitive landscape
- Build pipeline of early-stage opportunities and partnerships
- Align activities across business units and regions, ensuring transparency around account/opportunity plans and roadmaps
- Drive cross-region collaboration and visibility
- Translate market developments into clear opportunity funnels
- Translate voice of customer (VoC) from customers into product requirements and collaborate with product management to influence product roadmaps
- Drive conversions from opportunity to spec-in to project pipeline and revenue, as well as from new application opportunity to first win and scaled adoption
- Replicate successes across OEM platforms, new power systems and regions
- Support critical pursuits and early-stage engagements
- Build relationships with decision makers at OEMs (engineering, sourcing, strategy, management)
- Act as internal integrator across Sales, Engineering, Product Management and Marketing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering and/or related field
- 10+ years of experience in industrial B2B markets for rotating equipment, valves or power generation and energy transition equipment
- Proven experience in market management, market development or product-market roles, engagement with OEMs and/or specification-driven sales environments
- Solid knowledge of Power Generation market, including value chains in conventional and renewable power generation markets
- Exposure to renewable energy or energy transition applications is an advantage
- Experience working in a global or multi-regional role with cross-functional coordination
- Strong understanding of specification-driven business models and OEM engagement processes
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Business Administration, chemistry, engineering, or other science related discipline from a four-year college or university is preferable but not required.
- 7+ years of B2B industrial capital equipment or flow control sales experience, with a demonstrated track record in new business acquisition
- Deep knowledge of pumps, valves, or rotating equipment — preferably across two or more of: centrifugal, progressive cavity, gear, screw, or metering technologies
- Experience selling into one or more of CIRCOR's core verticals: energy (upstream/midstream/downstream), chemical, water/wastewater, power, or marine
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving engineering, procurement, and operations buyers
- Strong technical acumen — capable of understanding application requirements, and engaging credibly with engineers
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and a disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting
- Familiarity with engineered-to-order (ETO) or configured-to-order commercial environments
- Experience with project-based selling through EPC or LSTK contracting channels
- Exposure to aftermarket, spare parts, or service contract selling as a complement to capital equipment
- Computer literate and able to perform word processing, develop and utilize spreadsheet & database software, and be able to develop written and graphical presentations
- Must be willing to learn security, safety, and environmental protocols and use them as specified by CIRCOR, customers (for entry to their properties) and when included in solicitations, contract specifications and codes.
