About the Role

As the Global Head of Technology and Infrastructure (Senior Director), you will provide global leadership of IT Operations, Infrastructure, and Security. The role oversees IT organization tasks and responsibilities, including applications, reporting, infrastructure, networks, security & compliance, end-point management, vendor management, and contract negotiations. You will define and deploy the future IT strategy and roadmap in consultation with cross-functional leadership to drive efficiencies, strengthen competitiveness, achieve strategic growth goals, and maintain robust security.

This position will oversee all teams and processes to ensure efficient, effective, reliable, and secure global technical operations. You will provide direction and oversight for all major decisions impacting our technology footprint, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across all systems. This role will also serve as the primary point of contact in advising executive leadership and the Audit Committee on critical topics involving technology and/or security.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that solutions meet all legal, compliance, internal controls, and accounting standards.
  • Ensure information security policies, products, and procedures align with industry regulations and all relevant legislation.
  • Oversee security monitoring, systems health checks, backup and recovery systems, and disaster recovery (DR) readiness to ensure resilience and compliance.
  • Advocate and retain primary ownership of the company’s information security vision.
  • Conduct routine communication with leadership and Audit Committee members on security status, threats, and remedial actions.
  • Oversee and manage the IT business continuity and disaster recovery plan, ensuring effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the evaluation, adoption, and governance of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and secure integration across global business functions.
  • Oversee the IT procurement lifecycle with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a strategic sourcing mentality grounded in business efficiency, cost, and capabilities.
  • Oversee integration of systems and infrastructure for acquisitions and/or divestitures.
  • Provide leadership in planning and directing managers and directors overseeing IT functions, including Project Management, Database Admin, systems administration, network operations, PC/desktop support, applications, and reporting.
  • Develop and refine technical solutioning processes to ensure a holistic approach that considers all potential solutions across multiple departments and capabilities.
  • Act as the front-line contact within the organization, ensuring key competencies such as full issue resolution and communications are addressed fully and to completion.
  • Verify, modify, and design architectures of new and existing infrastructures for robustness, cost-effective development, and business growth.
  • Assist management in the selection, evaluation, negotiation, and management of third-party services and vendors.
  • Work with business leaders and the Director of Enterprise Applications to develop a comprehensive technology roadmap, including oversight of planning and execution of the global technology portfolio.
  • Ensure alignment and cohesion between technical capabilities and/or new platforms and optimizing our technical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree in technology or business is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience, including both management experience and hands-on technical experience in most of the following:
    • WAN/LAN networks (Cisco)
    • Storage/SAN (Pure)
    • Remote connectivity (Citrix/Xen)
    • Microsoft Technologies (e.g., AD, Azure, Office 365, Teams)
    • Disaster recovery
    • Private and Public Cloud technologies
    • Strong understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in process mapping, selection, implementation, and support of technologies that deliver business solutions and enhanced capabilities.
  • Extensive experience leading IT delivery teams, including scope, scheduling, budgeting, and project planning.
  • Experience with distributed operations and understanding the complexities of integrating a successful data-driven connected enterprise.

Pay

The hiring range for this position in Itasca, IL is $240,000 - $270,000 per year. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
