Global Financial Crimes Anti Bribery Corruption Officer - Vice President
About the role
We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Anti-Corruption Group Officer in Global Financial Crimes to assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Firm’s anti-corruption compliance processes, procedures, and strategy. In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm’s management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is a Vice President level position within global Anti-Corruption Group (“ACG”). ACG administers the Firm’s enterprise-wide anti-corruption compliance program, which includes policies, procedures, and internal controls designed to comply with applicable anti-corruption laws, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the US Foreign Extortion Prevention Act, the U.K. Bribery Act, and regulations in the jurisdictions in which it operates.
Responsibilities
- Implement the global anti-corruption compliance program across all business units in the Americas, including provide subject matter expertise and guidance to business units on appropriate compliance with anti-bribery and corruption laws, regulations, and policies
- Conduct review, pre-clearance, and monitoring of third-party intermediaries
- Review escalations concerning certain client-related expenditures, including gifts, meals and entertainment, events and conferences, and charitable contributions
- Conduct risk-based review of anti-corruption issues associated with offers of employment
- Liaise with GFC colleagues in other financial crimes coverage areas on transactional and/or client-related issues
- Provide analytical, administrative, and organizational support in the development and implementation of ongoing and ad hoc ACG initiatives, including annual risk assessments, repository maintenance, and program monitoring and design
- Support the Americas Head of ACG in responding to requests from regulators, internal audit, and testing functions
Requirements
- 7+ years of anti-corruption compliance, legal, or risk experience at a financial institution, law firm, regulator, or major accounting and consulting services firm
- Practical working knowledge of anti-corruption laws, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act (UKBA)
- Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently while collaborating and coordinating as part of a global program
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, flexible, and diligent
- Familiarity with the business operations of a large financial institution
- Experience with surveillance, monitoring and testing, assessments, and data & analytics
- Project management experience
