About the Role
A Global Experience Designer-Events designs experiences that exceed client expectations across face-to-face, hybrid, and virtual formats. You will own projects end-to-end, from initial client conversations through post-event debriefs, with ownership of budgets, vendors, and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Partner with clients and stakeholders to understand event needs (F2F, Hybrid, or Virtual) and develop a full-scope project plan, ensuring optimal solutions through a thorough understanding of MTA products and services.
- Contribute innovative solutions internally to advance MTA’s product and service offerings.
- Develop and manage project timelines from concept through completion.
- Manage internal teams (full-time and contract staff), delegating tasks to meet planning timelines and ensure successful live event execution.
- Oversee vendor partnerships during planning and live events, including hotel, transportation, production/technology, translation, and shipping.
- Manage high-figure budgets and financial reconciliation of all event-related expenses.
- Partner with MTA Leadership to navigate industry and customer compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Complete mandatory training assignments on time and as directed.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security controls, including upholding terms from MTA Client Master Service Agreements and Vendor Third-Party Agreements.
- Exemplify and amplify MTA’s core values: Creatively Agile Teaming with Trust, Talent Empowered, Clarity of Character, and Service with Soul.
- Promote and support DEI initiatives, fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment.
- Follow all MTA policies and procedures related to security controls for protecting personal, sensitive, and confidential data (as defined by GDPR).
- Provide recommendations for improving MTA security controls when applicable.
- Support company-wide compliance efforts through timely completion of mandatory security and policy training.
- Other duties as assigned by MTA leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in face-to-face event planning, with 2-5 years in virtual event planning, including execution of large-scale conferences and events (500-1,000+ attendees).
- In-depth understanding of live streaming, recorded production, speaker/talent management, and virtual event platforms.
- Extremely proficient with virtual web conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and Webex.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adaptability to the ever-changing virtual landscape as a positive agent for change and team motivator.
- Pharmaceutical industry knowledge/experience desired but not required.
- Multilingual skills desired but not required.
