Global Events Manager
About the Role
Our Financial Services client is seeking an experienced, creative, and self-motivated Events Director to join the Marketing Team. This role involves managing and leading the tactical and logistical planning and execution of events that reinforce company values and culture, deliver best-in-class experiences, and drive ROI for the business. The Director will report directly to the Head of Global Event Management and must be local to NYC for hybrid work, traveling to the office every two weeks for one day.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead tactical and logistical planning and execution of assigned events, including regional meetings, symposiums, product launch events, internal meetings, industry conferences, tradeshows, and client meetings across in-person and virtual formats.
- Drive planning and execution of events of all sizes and budgets, from regional to global scale.
- Own event marketing timelines and project management of event-related deliverables, such as collateral, invitations, giveaways, room blocks, and lead generation materials.
- Report on tradeshow and event ROI, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Manage external vendors and internal/external partners, including Corporate Communications/PR, Sales, Marketing, Corporate Travel, booth management vendors, and on-site event planners.
- Negotiate with tradeshow vendors for booth location, marketing opportunities, and adherence to show timelines.
- Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to shape and amplify event experiences.
- Maintain and monitor trade show assets and inventory.
- Own the Company Store premium item experience, including strategic merchandising and production, collaborating with vendors and the in-house design team.
- Assist with internal marketing meetings and events.
- Build event pages, registrations, and virtual platform links (e.g., Zoom, ON24, Teams).
- Manage registrations, track metrics, and provide reporting.
- Strategize with the Global Events Management team to improve in-person and virtual events and develop engaging audience experiences before, during, and post-event.
- Coordinate and run pre- and post-event meetings to align planning elements and debrief for future programs.
- Manage project timelines, quality issues, resources, and budgets.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in event planning and execution, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Dynamic experience in negotiations with external trade and marketing vendors.
- Exquisite organizational skills and polished written/verbal communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop and contribute to strategic initiatives within budget and timelines.
- Strong project management skills with a knack for optimizing departmental processes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal abilities.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to set goals and elevate the event portfolio.
- Data-driven leadership experience, focusing on defining success metrics and refining customer experience strategy.
- Proven ability to unite and motivate a diverse team of stakeholders, vendors, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with attendee management registration systems, apps, and event technology.

Schedule
Hybrid: Must be local to travel to NYC every two weeks for one day in the office.
Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is between $48.00 and $58.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on factors including background, knowledge, skills, and location.
