About the role
The Global CI Manager reports to the Director of Operational Excellence and assumes a high visibility leadership role focused on developing and executing the Corporate CI strategy. The role involves supporting plants in implementing the Dover Operational Excellence program, driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and enhancing operational performance globally.
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate the global CI strategy, focusing on transformation, processes, and systems to enable greater value delivery and improved productivity.
- Lead the execution of the CI roadmap within the site, championing site-level CI events, and delivering productivity improvements through core lean waste elimination concepts.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.
- Responsible for site productivity targets, both deployment and execution, and championing site productivity roadmap projects to reduce cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Implement CI best practices, share them globally within Dover Precision Components, and participate in GEMBA walks.
- Train and mentor plant and functional management teams to foster a consistent CI culture across the plant and functional areas.
- Teach problem-solving skills to employees and promote the use of problem-solving tools within the plant and functional areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, business administration, or related field.
- Eight to ten years of progressive experience in Lean Transformation across multiple sites, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with TQMS such as TPS, Honeywell operating system, or similar operational excellence models.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- Lean transactional experiences in customer services, order entry, engineering design, and finance.
- SME/AME/ASQ/Shingo Prizes Lean Certification or other Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
Qualifications
- Experience with TQMS such as TPS, Honeywell operating system, or similar operational excellence models.
- Experience with Lean Transformation across multiple sites, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
